Petunia

Petunia is one of the canon characters of Happy Tree Friends.

Bio[]

Petunia is a blue skunk in the Happy Tree Friends series. Petunia is best friends with Giggles, and the two often play together in the series. For most of the internet series, she and Giggles had almost identical personalities. When the TV series came out, however, the creators gave her obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) and she starts to panic and hyperventilate (complete with paper bag or something else to breathe in) if things are untidy or messy. More specifically, she is a "neat freak" Her love interests are Handy and Mime. She is the foster mother of Spud & Spudette.

Trivia[]

She is one of the few characters that suffers from a certain disease or disorder.
She is the only character that has ever committed suicide as seen in Wishy Washy.
Despite being a skunk, her "fart" has ironically never been used in the HTF canon. Admittedly, she does spray Disco Bear with something in Blind Date though it is most likely pepper spray/mace.
- She "used" another's (Splendid) fart in Breaking Wind, causing a huge explosion.
- She does use her skunk spray in HTF Fanon stories as there are no restrictions.
People often mistake her for a "squirrel" because of her tail size.
- Petunia's tail has shrunk significantly during the newer episodes.

She is always wearing an air freshener around her neck, takes five showers a day, and she is always trying to keep herself and her surroundings as clean as possible. These facts may hint that she suffers from Mysophobia, or a fear of germs/contamination.
Giggles and Petunia are waitresses at the Happy Tree Café. Giggles is seen working there in Concrete Solution and Petunia is seen working there in A Change of Heart.
She probably has Osmophobia or Olfactophobia because it is a fear of bad odors (smelly stuff).
She has a whole ton of cleaning products and even sanitary gear.
She is the first character to die a bloodless death as she was shocked to death in the HTF canon episode Stayin' Alive.
Giggles and Petunia both dislike Disco Bear.
She dislikes The Litter Bear because of the odor in his fur and him being dirty and his trash habits and Vestron because of the odor he carries not just in fur but also in his diaper and for being dirty and rude. She used to dislike The Little Girl Skunk until she earned her trust when Vestron came in. Petunia admires The Little Boy Skunk.
She always loves things to be neat and clean.
She and Giggles run a lemonade stand which in Gems The Breaks gets taken over by Lifty & Shifty who hold them hostage tied up and gagged in need of help.
She respects Tootie & Ben despite them wearing diapers and she loves to change their diapers.
In The Lost Toilets, she refused to wear diapers when the toilets were stolen and PePe forced her to wear a diaper whether she likes it or not. In Something Stinky In The Air, her OCD prevented her from changing the diaper district's resident's diapers. But when she did, she became the district's heroine and wears diapers whenever she visits the diaper district. The diaper she wore in that episode and the first part of the first episode of Happy Diaper Tree Friends World Petunia's Diaper Service lacked leak guards and rash guards. She switched to the same kind only with leak guards & rash guards. In Cleaning Day, she wears the diapers with leak guards and rash guards.
